Making the world a better place is everyone’s duty: citizens, companies, governments, and institutions. We are concerned with actively participating in the construction of a more just, sustainable and egalitarian society, combining efforts with civil society and other actors in the Justice system to achieve this objective.
An example of this is the participation of Hesketh Advogados in the Interinstitutional Working Group on Early Childhood Education (GTIEI) since 2012 and, since 2014, in the Advisory Committee to the TJSP Childhood and Youth Coordination for the Creation of vacancies in Early Childhood Education, which monitored compliance with the decision handed down by the Special Chamber of the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo, in 2013. The Committee’s actions contributed to the expansion of public early childhood education policy in the capital of São Paulo and to zero, since 2020, the waiting list that, in 2012, there were 150 thousand vacancies.
Hesketh Advogados is also the maintainer of the Instituto Articule, whose mission is to create agreement bodies that unite government representatives with bodies of the justice system, external control, legislative power and civil society so that they act in an integrated manner in the construction of more effective and agile solutions, in an environment of greater legal certainty. Currently, the Executive Presidency of Instituto Articule is held by partner Alessandra Gotti.
Furthermore, the concept of social responsibility is practiced in all areas of our office, whether by prioritizing the hiring of suppliers with appropriate and sustainable policies, or through pro bono advocacy in social and human rights causes.
